 2 + 2 Really Can Be Greater Than 4: Collaborating to Find Financial Fit College Options for Students
February 8, 2023Demonstrably improving college access for historically marginalized populations requires that the whole of our work is greater than the sum of its parts. We all need better data, and we can't all go it alone. But when we collaborate - within our organizations AND across our organizational networks - we can make dramatic progress. This presentation tells the story of how Chicago Scholars and TuitionFit teamed up to create a verifiable dataset of the actual prices that colleges charge all different types of students, and how that partnership lead to systemic collaboration between a host of college access organizations throughout the Chicago area to solve the challenge of finding financial fit college options for students.
